Log Cabin Foundations
Log cabins and log homes are very versatile due to their timber structure that is relatively easy and inexpensive to alter and make to suit different types of foundations.
Post foundations, strip foundations, pile foundations, raft foundations, slab foundations or traditional insulated oversite foundations all are suitable to take a log house kit. Depending on your ground conditions you might need to use one of these types or sometimes a combination of different types of foundations (sloping ground or on the shore or hill side).
Before ordering you need to make sure that you have specified the type of foundations you intend to use so that our engineers can alter the floor frame to suit and/or construct a special sub frame or a raft if/where applicable.
